Do you offer consultations?

How do I know if the therapist is right for me?

One of the biggest indicators of success is if you feel a sense of connection with your therapist early in treatment.

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask that you let us or your therapist know 24 hours before your appointment if you need to cancel to avoid any late cancellation charges.

How does billing work?

We offer direct billing to many private insurance plans, please contact us for more information. We also offer a convenient system that accepts major credit cards or e-transfers.

Are your therapists licensed?

Yes, all of our therapists are either registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers or the College of Registered Psychotherapists.

Can I get an receipt for my appointment?

Yes, you can. A receipt will be issued once payment is processed.

No, you do not need a physician’s referral to access services. However, your private insurance may require one for coverage to claim mental health therapy services. Please contact your private insurance to confirm their requirements.

The first appointment is called an intake session (can be 1-2 sessions) which involves an assessment to understand your history and background, relationship dynamics and the stressors/challenges that have contributed to your current situation and state. Your therapist will also discuss your goals for therapy and work with you to develop a treatment plan to meet those goals. We aim to make this process a comfortable one and to provide you with a safe place to talk about your concerns.
